This is it - Make it count

Haven't posted anything here for the past couple of months. I have a couple of saved drafts but didn't get to complete them. 2012..it's been one eventful year, or at least it has been an eventful couple of months. Many things happened, the usual : good things, great things, and not-so good ones. It's been months filled with rushing around, stressing over sponsorship's, proposals, dissertations, dealing with the media, organising an event, appearing on live radio, more events, writing a full paper for my conference presentation and well, assignments. All in all, that sums up the past 4 months pretty well. Ahh of course, can't forget trying to search for an internship placement. Was offered an absolutely great opportunity but sometimes we really got to weigh the pro's and con's. Everything happens for a reason. Precisely Mr W's words to me. There were indeed moments of pure stress, but things almost always work out and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this one as well. I appreciate all the support that I've been getting. Might not seem much at all to some of you but just listening to me vent on my worries means a lot already. I really appreciate the small gesture like extracting me from my seat, pulling me down for a chat and buying me a cup of drink just so I can relax and de-stress. It means a lot :)

Now that things seem calmer and I've gotten some rest, things are looking good. I know I've not been having the rest that I should have with so many things on my plate. But on the other side, it's the final league of my Degree - why not make it count? Heh. His words to me hit bullseye the other day. I am weird, I love a good challenge. But like you said, it doesn't mean that it's a bad thing :) Soon it'll be a flurry of assignment submission, internship contract submission, then finals, a short break and it's most probably going to be mabuhayyy Philippines :) If I end up there I don't think I will be able to extend my stay, kick back and bury by toes in the sandy beaches of Boracay or roam the bustling city of Manila but let's see.

For the next exciting months of 2012, as the Filipinos say, Mabuhay - Long live (in this context it means that at least) :)
